Australian Shepherd (A.K.A. WIGGLE BUTT)
The Australian Shepherd, a lean, tough ranch dog, is one of those 'only in America' stories: a European breed perfected in California by way of Australia. Fixtures on the rodeo circuit, they are closely associated with the cowboy life.
The Australian Shepherd, the cowboy's herding dog of choice, is a medium-sized worker with a keen, penetrating gaze in the eye. Aussie coats offer different looks, including merle (a mottled pattern with contrasting shades of blue or red). In all ways, they're the picture of rugged and agile movers of stock. Aussies exhibit an irresistible impulse to herd, anything: birds, dogs, kids. This strong work drive can make Aussies too much dog for a sedentary pet owner. Aussies are remarkably intelligent, quite capable of hoodwinking an unsuspecting novice owner. In short, this isn't the pet for everyone. Each one will have his own personality but most times they are protective and curious of strangers. Even well socialized dogs can be moody or possessive of their owner around other dogs. But if you're looking for a brainy, tireless, and trainable partner for work or sport, your search might end here.
Australian Cattle Dog ( A.K.A. Heeler)
The Australian Cattle Dog, also called Blue or Red Heeler or Queensland Heeler, is related to Australia's famous wild dog, the Dingo. These resilient herders are intelligent enough to routinely outsmart their owners on a number of levels.
Standing between 17 to 20 inches at the shoulder, the Australian Cattle Dog is a sturdy, hard-muscled herder of strength and agility. The ACD is born with a white coat that turns blue-gray or red. Both coat varieties feature distinctive mottling or specking patterns. ACDs have immense work drive and excel at hunting, chasing, and, of course, moving livestock. Their boundless energy and gait make them excellent running buddy's. ACDs are true-blue loyal, famously smart, ever alert, and wary of strangers and at time very protective. If an ACD isn't challenged, he easily becomes bored and gets into mischief. It is recommended that ACD owners participate with their dog in some work, sport, or regular exercise to keep him mentally and physically fit. Each one will have his own personality but most times they are protective and curious of strangers. Even well socialized dogs can be moody or possessive of their owner around other dogs.

Deposits: Deposits are $250.00 at this time. We require a deposit to hold a puppy. We take deposits via Paypal or cash currently. We do not take checks. If deposit and/or final payment is sent via Paypal unless the buyer sends payments as friends and family on Paypal, there will be a 4% fee added to the buyer's price/deposit amount. Normally this rounds out to approximately $10.44 if the deposit goal is $250.00 via a payment on Paypal so the total to be sent would be rounded to the nearest dollar amount $261.00. Only the $250.00 will come off the total amount of the puppy. Paypal deposits are simple if you have an account. You just click on send money and choose ( friends and family or send payment.) Then type in our email " WHICH WILL BE PROVIDED AFTER WE SPEAK," put the amount to be sent. Add the description of deposit on Puppy name, your name and your phone number and send. Please do not send deposits until you have made contact with us and ensured that the puppy is still available before sending it. Sometimes I can be working with 2 to 4 at the same time. The first to declare and send money that we receive will get the puppy. If you are wanting to come see the puppy and make a cash deposit you are welcome to do so but if someone calls and is willing to make a Paypal deposit to secure it then puppy will be sold unless you are in route to our facilities when this happens. I cannot hold a puppy on the promise of a person getting it. At no time will deposits be refunded if you back out on the adoption on a puppy. It is your responsibility to ensure that you can care for and keep a puppy before making arrangements to secure it. If you live in an apartment or rental house. Deposits may be moved to another puppy of the same or different litter but will not be refunded. If you move your deposit to another puppy of a different price you will be responsible for paying the difference in the amount before said puppy leaves our kennel. If placing a deposit on a future litter or requesting to be placed on our call list you will be placed in order for the size of puppy (i.e.) Standard, Mini, or Toy then by color, gender, and eye color unless you specify any or all. This is to speed up the selection process and prevent any undo arguments.
Purchase Price: Buyer agrees to the cost in purchasing the puppy described above. This price does not include any additional costs for shipping/transfer, boarding fees, extra shots and/or Paypal fees. If deposit and/or final payment is sent via Paypal unless the buyer sends payments as friends and family on Paypal, there will be a 4% fee added to the buyer's price. Normally this rounds out to approximately $4.00 for every $100.00 sent. So buyer is encouraged to pay remainder in cash. The puppy will not be delivered, picked up or shipped until full payment is received and puppy is at least 8 weeks of age. Puppy is required to be paid for in full, including shipping costs & fees if applicable, before the puppy leaves our kennel. Puppies must be picked up and/or shipped no later than 9 weeks of age (unless otherwise agreed to by seller). If your puppy must stay with us longer than 9 weeks, there is a boarding cost of $5.00 a day, that will be required to be paid when you pick up your puppy/dog. If seller has made 3 attempts to contact buyer and buyer has not answered or made contact with seller then seller will relist puppy as available. It is the buyers responsibility to ensure they have made contact with the seller before this happens. Payment may be made by cash or PayPal (Only 10 or more days prior to puppy leaving breeder facilities.) We do not accept checks. Deposits come off the total amount of the puppy price and are non refundable if buyer backs out of the adoption for any reason. If something happens to the puppy while in the sellers care, the seller will transfer deposit to another puppy of same litter or different litter matching markings as close as possible. If buyer wishes to change to a puppy of different color or gender than what was previous deposited on, buyer will have to pay the difference in amounts if there is any before puppy is picked up. At no time do we refund deposits.
Shipping: If puppy must be shipped to Buyer, Buyer agrees to pay shipping costs which include airfare, transport to shipping center, cost of a crate, and veterinary health certificate and any extra vaccinations or vet visits the puppy may need for shipping. Seller agrees to make all necessary shipping arrangements after payment has been received. Puppy will be transported by a Petsafe Airline or pet transport company from Dothan, AL to a destination airport as close to the Buyer's location as possible or if via pet transport company to an area agreed on by company and buyer and seller this is mostly determined by the transport company. Cost will be subject to current airline rates or transport company rates. The specific flight departure time will be determined by availability and in the best interest of the puppy (i.e., fewest stops, shortest travel time, etc..) The transport company will try to schedule the times of pickup and drop off that agrees with the kennels schedule and buyers schedule along with other buyers. But we can’t guarantee these times. They dictate this mostly.
Health Guarantee: Seller warrants that the puppy is free of communicable diseases and is in good health while at the kennel. The seller try’s its best to make sure each puppy has been well socialized and has a stable temperament. At no time can we guarantee their personality or temperament though. They are puppies. They will take training and time well spent with them by the buyer along with positive reinforcement to become the best they can be. The puppy will be up to date on vaccinations, and worming. Buyer is obligated to have the puppy examined at Buyer's cost by a licensed veterinarian to verify general health within 72 hours from date of pickup, delivery and/or shipment arrival. Seller accepts no liability for any communicable diseases after the puppy leaves the possession of the Seller. If puppy/dog does not pass a general health exam, Buyer agrees to notify breeder via email or phone within 24 hours of veterinary notification and provide a copy of the original signed licensed veterinary statement of health. Minor, treatable problems such as diarrhea are common problems in puppies especially under stress and in new environments, and will not be covered by this warranty. We make every effort to prevent: coccidiosis, parasites, giardia by worming at two weeks of age per our vets recommendations. We worm our pups 3-5 days straight every 2 weeks with Fenbendazole to prevent hooks, rounds, tapes and whip worms. At 4 to5 weeks of age they are given a Neopar shot to prevent Parvo and they are started on an antibiotic to boost their immune system to help keep them from getting Coccidia. At 6 weeks of age they are given their first 5 way immunization which they will need 3 more at the ages of 9, 12, & 15 weeks of age. We strive to make sure all our puppies leave our kennel without fleas and ticks and will not be held liable for any the puppy may acquire once away from our kennel. It is the buyers responsibility to resume treatment for prevention of environmental diseases and parasites. Example: 5 ways shots, intestinal worms, heart worms, flea/tick prevention.
Warranty: Buyer acknowledges that Seller is not responsible for buyer's veterinary expenses at any time or under any circumstance. Seller warranties this puppy free from “genetic defects”, such as hip dysplasia, deafness, serious eye defect, that would prevent the puppy from being a companion animal, until the puppy reaches one year of age. If this puppy is found to have a genetic defect of this kind, this must be verified by a licensed certified veterinarian. In the case of a hereditary hip deformity, a copy of written notification must come to the Seller from Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA). In case of a genetic eye deformity, written notification must come to the Seller from a Board Certified Veterinary Ophthalmologist. If a “genetic disorder” is found, the Buyer may choose to either, return the puppy/dog to the Seller at the Buyer's expense and the Seller will then replace the puppy with one of the same sex and coat color from the first available litter (puppy to be determined by the Seller), or the Buyer may choose to keep the puppy/dog. This contract will only be valid while the seller is breeding Australian Shepherds and or Heelers. Should the Seller discontinue breeding dogs of this variety, this contract shall be null & void. This contract is between the Seller and Buyer(s) signed below. If this puppy/dog is sold/given to a third party, this contract shall be null & void.
Breeding Clause: Puppy is covered under warranty only for the purpose of being a pet/companion animal. Although it could be capable/suitable of performing other functions, such as show or breeding quality, no warranty is being given for that purpose. Any dog that has sired or whelped 1 or more puppies is longer covered under this guarantee. If used for breeding (only if purchased/given Breeding rights), the Seller asks that the Buyers do so responsibly, and recommend that males must be at least one year of age before used for breeding and females at least one year of age and had at least one prior heat cycle before being bred. At no time should you try to breed merle to merle.
Purchase agreement: Agreement does not include a return of the puppy for the reasons including but not limited to: allergies, mortality, landlord/HOA disapproval, neglect exposure to weather, injury, choking, poisoning, etc. It is the Seller's sincere intention that none of their dogs are ever taken to a shelter. If at any point, the Buyer cannot keep this puppy/dog that is still in good health, the Seller agrees to assist in finding this animal a new home. At any time, the Buyer can surrender the dog back to the Seller.. Seller cannot guarantee adult size or conformation of the puppy/dog or overall temperament. Buyer hereby releases breeder & veterinarian and agrees to hold harmless for any liability, injuries or damages to persons or property caused by this puppy/dog. Buyer shall assume full responsibility for the health, temperament, and appearance of the puppy/dog upon when the puppy/dog leaves the premise of the Seller and releases Seller and Veterinarian from any liabilities or treatments for minor parasites once the puppy leaves the kennel. Seller cannot guarantee a specific life span. Guarantee does not include death of the puppy, unless the request for replacement is accompanied by an autopsy determining the cause of the death to be related to genetic defect that is performed by an accredited institution set up for such procedures (not a local veterinarian). All related expenses will be paid by the owner of the puppy. The buyer should notify the breeder immediately upon discovery of any defect. This guarantee is null and void upon any evidence of neglect or abuse, or if the buyer fails to maintain annual check-ups with a licensed veterinarian, or maintain vaccinations. Proof of such maintenance must be furnished upon request of Breeder. Buyer must follow the regular vaccine, worming, and heart worm schedule for the puppyʼs/dogʼs life. Failure to do so causes this contract to become null and void. Puppy/dog will be up to date on all vaccinations and worming when it leaves premise of Seller, and those records will be provided to Buyer. In case of litigation, the venue shall be Dothan AL, County, Houston. Registration papers and contract shall be filled out and signed after/when the sale is completed and a copy given to the buyer at the seller’s earliest convenience.
Crimson Bred Kennel's requests that when registering the puppy, use the Prefix "Godwin's Crimson Bred". Example: Godwin's Crimson Bred Wiggles. This assists in tracking/identifying lineage.
Keeping your puppy healthy: Again, we worm the mothers before, during and after welping and we begin worming the pups and the mother when pups are at two weeks of age per our vets recommendations. We worm our pups 3-5 days straight every 2 weeks with Fenbendazole to prevent hooks, rounds and whip worms and Girardia. At 5 weeks of age they are given a Neopar shot to prevent Parvo and they are started on an antibiotic to boost their immune system to help keep them from getting Coccidia. At 6 weeks of age they are given their first 5 way immunization which they will need 3 more at the ages of 9, 12, & 15 weeks of age which the buyer will be responsible for making sure that the puppy receives. Ten days after their 9 week vaccination you should be able to take your puppy out in public areas. Before the 9 weeks shot, it is highly discouraged as their systems are still building immunities against deadly viruses. You will need to keep the puppy on a routine worming treatment. Puppies should be wormed every two weeks 3 to 5 days straight until twelve weeks of age, then monthly for the duration of the dogs life. After six months all dogs need to be wormed at a minimum every three months for effective protection. Most Monthly heart worm treatments will treat intestinal worms too, so keep this in mind. But they may or may not treat all of them like the one we use will. This is our policy to prevent our stock from receiving worms. Also puppies should be started on heartworm prevention at 12 weeks of age. Then once a year your adult dog will need a booster 5-way shot and a rabies shot. The best practice would be to consult your veterinarian and keep a regular schedule with them and follow their advice. Depending on the vet these ages, timelines and dosages could vary so keep that in mind.
Remember: Your puppy currently has no immunity until they have finished all their rounds of vaccinations, so do not take your puppy to the park or any public place where strays or any unknown dogs could be that may be carrying unknown diseases. No guarantee is provided for any kind of worm or intestinal parasite, though your puppy has been dewormed continuously with Panacur starting at 14 days of age and repeated regularly until leaving breeder. Worms and parasites are all common to puppies and can be contracted from your soil or boarding facility. It is your responsibility to continue deworming your puppy and regularly checking for parasites.
1. Reserve your puppy with a $250.00 deposit. At this time you can pay deposits via PayPal or cash . Deposits can reserve a puppy that is already for sale or can be applied to the waiting list. If you apply a deposit towards the waiting list, we place you on the list to pick your puppy in the order we received deposits. For each size, color, and gender.
The first person to place a deposit is first to pick a puppy.
The second person to place a deposit picks their puppy afterward, and so on.
The balance on your CRIMSON BRED PUPPY (including shipping if necessary) is due before the puppy leaves our kennel. All money must CLEAR the bank before your puppy is released. We ONLY accept cash if you plan to pick up your puppy and pay the balance at the time of pickup.
2. Time frame for deposits received determines the order that picks occur. Puppies are evaluated and priced at 4 to 5 weeks of age. Once the evaluations are completed and I price the puppies, I will show all available puppies to the first person on the waiting list. The date that deposits are sent to us and we receive them establishes the order of the waiting list.
Our policy is first-come, first-served.
The first person to send a deposit always gets to choose first. Everyone will have 24 hours to choose their puppy or pass and wait for the next litter. If we can not get in contact with you we will go to the next person in line. I am happy to provide more pics, info, or videos to help you choose if its to where I can at the time. I work some crazy hours. Then the next person who had placed a deposit will see puppies and either choose their puppy or wait for the next litter and so on.
3. When the next litter is born, the list starts back with the person who sent in their deposit FIRST. So if you decided to wait on the next litter when it was your turn to pick, you stay in order of deposit received for future puppies.
4. Deposits are NON REFUNDABLE (only transferable to another available pup). If you change your mind and do not want or cannot take your CRIMSON BRED PUPPY, you will have a credit with the kennel to apply towards a puppy when you are ready..
5. We ship CRIMSON BRED puppies twenty pounds and under at this time for (APPROX) $550.00 for air shipping (if available) and (APPROX) $550 for ground shipping. " THIS IS A GUESSTIMATE ONLY", prices are based off the current rates for the shipping/ puppy nanny vendor. This all-inclusive shipping cost covers all expenses required for you to receive your puppy.
Puppies over 20 pounds may be slightly more expensive.
6. You may pick up or ship your CRIMSON BRED puppy at eight weeks old. We can hold your CRIMSON puppy after eight weeks, but there will be a $5.00 per day boarding charge at or after nine weeks of age. Any other expenses are the buyer’s responsibility during this time (example: further shots, due to be given). If two weeks or more pass with no attempts to make arrangements or plans with CRIMSON BRED KENNELS, the buyer then forfeits the CRIMSON BRED puppy. You will receive a kennel credit for the amount you sent, minus any reasonably related expenses.
7. A deposit of $250 is the only way to reserve a puppy. Every puppy will remain for sale until reserved with a deposit. If you make travel plans to get a puppy that you did not secure with a deposit, I may sell the puppy to another party before your arrival. Be sure to reserve your puppy with a deposit.
How long have you wanted that healthy, beautiful PUPPY in your life?
Reserve your pup for only $250.

I am interested in bringing an Australian Shepherd into our family - what next
We encourage you to make sure you have done your homework learning about the breed. Aussie's are incredible companions but they are not for everyone. They can be medium to high activity dogs and needy of their owners. If you are still confident this is the breed for you then call or send us a message and we would love to help you take the next steps to pair you up with your future Aussie!
*** DO NOT make an impulse purchase, be informed - honest and responsible before adding one of these great dogs to your family!
I have decided I want one of your puppies!
Great! You have made a good decision. You may put down a deposit on a puppy we already have available or you may put down a deposit for a future puppy. Deposits are $250 to hold a puppy until it is ready to pick up. Once a puppy is chosen the deposit is NON REFUNDABLE, it may however be transferred to another puppy if for some reason you change your mind on the original puppy picked.
We by all means want you to be happy with your new family addition!
**If you have made a deposit on a future puppy, not yet born, and for what ever reason - we do not have a puppy of your liking in the litter that comes, you may transfer it to the next available litter.
I live far away from Alabama - Do you Ship?

Do you have a Health Contract?

Parasites are an ongoing problem and will need continuous treatment. We do our best to be sure they leave with out any but even still they could leave the kennel and pick them back up

We have had Aussie's and Heeler's for over 25 yrs, so most likely we can help you!
Are your dogs and puppies Registered?
YES. All our Australian Shepherds - regardless of size are Registered.
All our Aussie's are registered with ASDR, some are registered with NSDR, AKC.
Does AKC recognize the Miniature Australian Shepherd
No. AKC does not recognize the Mini Aussie. In May 2011 AKC began to accept Miniature and Toy Australian Shepherds under their NEW GIVEN name of the North American Shepherds. This has caused a great division among Mini Aussie breeders. Many (us) included refuse to rename our Miniature Australian Shepherds under this new name given by AKC.
Will my new Puppy Come with Registration Papers?
Not immediately - if sold as a pet - once your puppy has been spayed/neutered you may contact me, send a copy of the vet invoice and at that time I will send you the puppies registration application. Then you may register your puppy with ASDR. Our puppies are sold as Pets/Companions, NOT as breeding dogs. This is our personal practice to help insure each puppy gets a wonderful loving and caring family first and foremost. We also believe there is an overpopulation of pets in the world and a large number of people breeding just for monetary reasons.
----- Please inquire about breeding rights, we may let a Show/Breeding quality puppy go to a responsible breeding home. If at anytime a puppy may be mis-marked or do not meet the registry standard or we feel it may not make a respectable breeding prospect we reserve the right to sale said puppy as pet only.
What will my Puppy be eating when he comes home?
Your little guy will come home with a small bag of dry starter food. We recommend you keep your puppy on this food for at least the first few weeks of being home. After that if you feel you must change foods then you can start mixing them slowly and wean him off the food he was on. - We feed Purina Dog Chow, and Pedigree... Which food depends on the puppies individual needs. So please check with us to see what we are feeding at that time.
